Documenting the Moments in Between
What do I see in the world?
With or without a camera in hand, I am in awe with the movement of light. The flickering of light kissing the wall while you are sipping your coffee. The sweet reminder of why we are alive witnessing a sunrise, the celebration of a days work with a sunset. We are light beings who have the privilege to witness the world through our eyes. In times of darkness, the light has always brought me comfort. Time slows down when I focus on being in awe of light. Photography is tool for my expression. It is an opportunity for connection, an expression of storytelling.
A lens in hand has given me the opportunity to express the beauty that life offers us daily. Unless we pause to see it, it doesn’t exist. Photography has taught me to p a u s e more often and savor those moments. Traveling opened my eyes to the vastness of the world we live in and how you can drive five minutes in be in a completely different world. I find inspiration in a lot of the grit life has to offer us. This led me to becoming a photographer and artist. One day on a train, it occurred to me that I saw snapshots of things I would like to photograph and so it began.
